Village Tavern: Your Destination for Exceptional Steaks and Drinks in Scottsdale

Delicious, consistent take out. This is our new favorite takeout restaurant. We've ordered 5 times now and they pay close attention to detail, including requests. The food is always delicious at home. We're especially fond of the ribs, chicken sandwich and chicken marsala. We can't wait to try everything on the menu and make a visit in person.

Cute little restaurant in Scottsdale. With indoor and outdoor seating. Service was excellent. Food and drinks were amazing. We had some appetizers, the calamari and spinach dip. Because of that I only had room for soup and salad. French onion soup and wedge salad, delicious!

Great service and lovely ambiance! Packed for a Monday night! Portion sizes were large and they had a big kids menu. Not a ton for vegetarians, but enough to find something. Excellent dessert menu.

Great food, expansive menu. Fabulous prime rib! Excellent service. Love the casual atmosphere and acoustics. We were a party of 8 celebrating a birthday at brunch. Great to be able to have table conversation without having to shout! We will be back again and again.

I just learned about this place. Plenty of parking, right by Sprouts. Hopefully less busy than the North side of the shopping center. We went there for Sunday brunch and our server Henry took great care of us. The hostess and all the staff we interacted with were very friendly and professional. The food was delicious and I hope to go back soon to try other dishes.

AWESOME DESSERTS!! Went in on a weekend and the place was busy so a reservation might be a good idea. Our waiter was helpful and attentive. We tried: Shanghai Flash-Fried Calamari, Tuna Tartare, Wedge of Iceberg, Chicken Marsala w/ Brussel Sprouts and Mac & Cheese for the sides, Ghirardelli Chocolate Torte, and Warm Butter Cake. My favorite part of the calamari was the fried jalapeños. The chili sauce was also a nice spin to traditional calamari. The tuna tartare wasn't anything outside the ordinary. The wedge was exactly as expected. The chicken Marsala was good enough to be served at an Italian restaurant. The Mac & Cheese is an absolute must get for a side. You can't go wrong with either dessert since both were outstanding. I will absolutely comeback over and over again for the desserts. Overall, I would recommend eating here when you are in the mood for dessert.

The Village Tavern is a beautiful place in Gainey Village Shop area. Plenty of booths with dark wood, western chandeliers and Arizona paintings as decor. The hostess seated us quickly and the waiter was right there for our drink order. Their menu is pretty big so there is something for every one. We had the Thai salad, The Tavern Burger, Wedge Salad, and Fish and chips. We didn't order anything extravagant but every thing was great so I'm sure if you go for a steak or fish you won't be disappointed. We went during lunch time and will definitely come here for dinner and bring visitors and friends.

This place was poppin' which is a sure sign of good food. For appetizers the spinach dip was soooo SOOOO good. The onion dip was good but got second place to the spinach dip. The potato chips it came with were yummy! Atmosphere was perfect for our double date. Service was great and fast as well. Tacos - yummm. The steak was delicious and their rice was yummyyy. Pizza- would pass, their other dishes were 10x better. I didn't try the Chicken Alfredo however it looked like it could feed a family of 4!

Aleia, smiling Aleia was our gracious waitress who made us Hoosiers feel welcome....thank you. We had roasted cauliflower appetizer with sauce and pine nuts. The pine nuts really added a nice crunch! Unfortunately we gobbled it up so quickly, I didn't get a photo. But the village Tavern has photos of everything on their website. Then my very handsome husband and I shared the dinner entree of grilled meatloaf which comes with 2 slices of meatloaf. Luncheon size only has one slice. Green beans were a little crunchy for me,,but must add that in Indiana bacon grease is a must in green beans. No wonder, I'm so chubby.
